Maybe try the Atomic version of Fedora Budgie? With my limited testing it looks like a really easy and (almost) unbreakable distro.
Otherwise uBlue has allot of images, you can make your own even.
Maybe try installing trough a package manager like Winget or Chocolatey
Well, uBlue can be as light as you want it to be.
Some other projects I’m thinking of:
Is it for a personal computer or a server?
Does it have to be Debian based? Otherwise uBlue is a great project!
Determined by Google, GrapheneOS will probably provide extended support like they did for the Pixel 4.
You have to flash an extra file if you need the proprietary Google Play Services, at default LineageOS is just stock android without it. MicroG is is indeed an open source reimplementation of GPS, so it spoofs your device as it has the real GPS installed.
Also it uses other (local) database of network locations (UnifiedNlp) so when using a maps app it will find your location faster and more accurate than only relying on gps (the positioning system, not Google Play Service) ;)
In my opinion I feel like /e/OS is too bloated and I don’t like the iOS inspired theme. If you prefer stock android you should choose LineageOS. BTW there is also a fork of LineageOS called LineageOS for microG, should you need Play Services.
As far as I know you can’t, but what I did was to connect the drive to a PC (Windows or Linux) and make a SMB share of it. There is an app on F-Droid that can connect to SMB shares.
I use this all the time, also nice for text share.
And recently Llama3 and Mixtral!
I’ve a Dreame L10s Ultra flashed with it, very happy with my purchase. A bit scary to install everything but if you read the instructions before doing it you should be fine :)
I had the same issue with my Anonaddy alias, I just made an alias using my domain name and works fine now. It’s unfortunate that so many project are on shithub.
You can use Universal Android Debloater. Most apps have a description of what it does and if it’s safe to remove or not. Already debloated a few Samsung phones with it, works great :)
Maybe try a Windows VM with USB passtrough
I use 1984.hosting, they are an independent VPS provider that runs on 100% green energy. Already customer with them for 2 years. Last year I moved my email hosting to them (unlimited domain names and storage).
No KYC They accept bitcoin and monero
What software do you use for the thin client part? I’m really happy with Moonlight, just Wayland support (no cursor) is a little broken.
A few months ago I bought a second hand Nvidia Shield TV (€40), flashed LineageOS on it. Very happy with the device, especially the performance.
I use Jellyfin, SmartTubeNext and some VOD TV apps from my country. I’ve Adguard Home on my Proxmox server (can also be a Raspberry Pi) that I use for DNS adblocking, so we can watch VOD TV without any ads. Works really well :)
We’ve switched to this from cable TV and my family loves it, we can watch anything we want without any ads and FREE!
Only problem (not for me) is that Netflix doesn’t work on it without GAPPS.
As much as possible :) It’s also the only app I really need direct access to when I unlock my phone.
