I did some research on what would be a good OS for someone coming from Windows and at the time Linux Mint was recommended a lot so that’s what I chose.

Yeah that is a likely outcome. I was just trying to stay positive and hope for the best. When I think about how bad things can get with the misuse of AI, it makes me kinda depressed.

Cool, I hope she’ll be happy at her new agency, and I’m looking forward to her future activities. I’ve liked Nayoung since I.O.I and I also enjoyed watching her in the drama Imitation. I didn’t know she was in Flower of Evil. I’ve heard good things about that drama, so I’ll add it to my must watch list.

I really enjoyed this episode. Unfortunately the Eng subs are bad. Timing is off and a lot of translations are missing. The translations that are there seem accurate, though, from what I saw. I ended up turning off the English subs since I know enough Korean to watch without them. Hope the Eng subs get better later or a better subbed version becomes available somewhere for everyone.

Hybe’s gg survival show was previously called l-Land 2. I’m really happy they changed the format of the show from l-Land’s which was quite harsh that I think it traumatized the trainees. Enhypen regularly tells Engenes not to watch l-Land, lol. However, not knowing anything about it, I watched l-Land this past January and it (and Enhypen’s discography) made me an Engene so the show still has some merit. R U Next’s format seems more light and I really like all the coaches. As a 2nd gen stan, it’s great to see Jo Kwon, Gyuri, and Sooyoung together in one show. I wonder since Mnet isn’t producing this show will we get to not have any evil editing. I hope so.

They slayed! I’m so happy for Natty’s gg debut! I remember watching her in Sixteen auditioning to be in Twice as the youngest of the trainees. Love that she never gave up her dream of being a gg member. Kiss of Life looks and sounds very promising. Will be following them!

Good point. I hope you’re right that we’re very far off from that reality. It’s best to be prepared, though. Productivity increases from AI use across industries may bring us the hardware needed for encryption-breaking quantum computing algorithms sooner than we think.

R U Next is the survival show for HYBE’s new girl group. They will debut under BELIFT, the label that manages ENHYPEN. I haven’t watched the episode yet but I watched the ‘HYBE Trainees tell about Trainee Life’ video and it made me become more interested in the trainees so now I’m excited to watch this. Oh, okay I had no idea. Crazy how they bothered to trademark it but not do anything to support the mods of the AMA community, rather even actively harming them by firing the only person at Reddit that was helping them out, Victoria Taylor.

It’s so crazy how they fired her. Reddit’s leadership really loves to shoot themselves in the foot. I applaud the mods scaling back their AMA mod duties. No point in doing so much extra work for a community that reddit continually shows it doesn’t care about and actively harms through their bad decisions.

I agree. Reddit didn’t trademark AMA so that means we can use it too.

I don’t like this at all, but I doubt it can be stopped. I hope at the end of the day, when AI adoption is widespread, AI will have improved the internet and our lives rather than make them worse.

HYBE and The Pokémon Company revealed ENHYPEN, the seven-member K-Pop group, will partner with the ‘Pokémon Music Collective’ to release a new single called “One and Only.” The ‘Pokémon Music Collective’ features music inspired by the iconic sounds of the Pokémon series video game universe. The single, along with its accompanying music video, will debut on July 12.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s hard to work when tired and I totally understand wanting to include the hair description if you thought it could be contextually relevant, and since you found out it’s not, taking it out is the right choice. I’m not at all experienced in transcription for the blind so when I made my suggestion of clumpy afro-textured hair, at first I thought the point of the transcription was to be as detailed as possible while also being brief, so I thought the hair description had to stay in in some form. But now I see only contextually relevant info is needed. Good to know. We’ve both learned something in this, yeah? Thanks again for the work you do and being open to suggestions. You’re awesome! 🙂

I tried the official app soon after it’s initial release and didn’t like it. Tried again the other day and it was even worse than I remember. It was ugly and slow scrolling on my phone. I deleted it right away. I don’t mind using the reddit desktop site, if I go back for my niche communities until they make it to the Fediverse, but I’m no longer using reddit on mobile if I can’t use my favorite 3rd-party app. Reddit even made it’s mobile website annoying to use, trying push people to its app. I absolutely hate when sites do that.
