Punch nazis, trebuchet TERFs.
I am building Voyager, a client for lemmy!

No API, its just some JS code that resizes in a canvas.
Hey! Through DM, about a week ago. I’ll copy below (it’s nothing sensitive):
Everything seems pretty great, with the only friction I’m working through is regarding user uploads.
It looks like when using 3rd party clients (like Photon or Voyager’s PWA) and I try to upload an image that is too large to lemm.ee, lemm.ee is not properly setting the CORS header. This means that Photon/Voyager can’t see that lemm.ee is rejecting the upload due to image size. It seems to be working on lemmy.world.
(Please note that Voyager automatically compresses images to fit within 1MB, so it may be best to test with Photon - the same problem can be observed and replicated there.)
lemmy.world:
If you have time to take a look, I’d appreciate it! No rush at all.
The issue is lemm.ee disables image uploads until accounts are four weeks old.
From lemm.ee sidebar,
Image uploads are enabled 4 weeks after account creation
I contacted your admin (@sunaurus@lemm.ee) about an issue where the response to the image upload doesn’t have the proper CORS headers, which prevents Voyager from reading the response. Hopefully that gets resolved at some point so we can get more helpful error messages :)
That’s coming very soon. Probably next week
Any update on this? The rate limiting is affecting users on other instances too unfortunately.
Yep this. Call in sick, quit, max out your credit, go halfway around the world, do literally whatever is needed to be done to see a total eclipse if you haven’t been able to experience it yet. It’s unreal.
Hi, Voyager dev here, I’d like to see a very small, terse API for clients devs to make a more seamless experience!
The MVP IMO would be a way to automatically log the user in when opening the Canvas, perhaps by
And I could see stuff beyond this. Like an API to know event metadata, docs on how to embed Canvas in app (would be great for engagement)
Anywho simple is best but would be awesome for tighter integration of apps/clients with a documented API!
Try restarting your app. That can happen if an API request fails (or if you Lemmy instance isn’t federated with the target instance)
you own the airspace up to the highest point of your property
Nope. Part 103 pilots often fly inches off the ground and it’s totally legal- usually farm fields. This is called class G airspace and extends from surface to 700 or 1200 ft AGL. The United States government has exclusive sovereignty of airspace in the US from the surface up, and any citizen has the right of transit through that airspace.
Thanks 💜
could the lemmy.ml censorship drama be related to this?
I think it’s just cooling down from Reddit migration. Same thing with Voyager donations (albeit smaller scale).
The script is pretty easy to read and follow along manually if you need to.
Nice work
You can also do code block with plain:

They don’t try to kill you. They just try to propagate. If it kills you on the way, 🤷♂️
I am Voyager app developer!
I don’t remember the last time I needed/missed 3.5mm
