The original developer left the project and handed it off to somebody else. I reckon you’re still on the old beta which doesn’t get updated anymore and got pulled off of Testflight.

Personally I really like that lemmy is becoming more active and there’s more activity on mainstream topics outside the tech bubble right now.
What I don’t like is my instance becoming overwhelmed.
Penetration tester?
Really? For me it’s the opposite effect. You usually don’t get crazy amounts of engagement like on reddit where a post can have hundreds of upvotes and comments but on average, I feel like I’m getting more engagement and more valuable engagement.
That’s not it. The account was 100% empty and the stuff that’s now back, I can delete again. That said - it might absolutely be some server caching issue on reddit’s side. It’s definitely fishy though.
Holy fucking shit. I just checked. All my deleted comments and posts are back.
I’m based in Germany and I’m pretty sure this is a GDPR violation.
Edit: Not all is back but some older comments are. I previously checked and my account was definitely empty before.
Unfortunately there are many people who simply don’t care. People got used to apps being crap and many don’t even understand the fundamental concept of using third-party clients.
The other point for me is that reddit has been getting shittier long before the API change. Forcing you to use their crappy app when you just clicked a link on mobile, all this weird avatar and award stuff. The weird chat that got bolted onto their message system, yet keeping the two seperate?
There’s no way I will pay for that.
I hope you’re not doing this manually. Power Delete Suite can also do edits.
Glad to see this mentioned here. Wefwef is fantastic and not enough people know about it. It’s the client that made me really dive into lemmy.
Eww look at Mlem being inclusive and open-minded and all.
In addition to what the others said, there was a „campaign“ a while ago that you should boost and not favorite on Mastodon.
Since there’s no algorithm that promotes liked posts in the timeline, liking something doesn’t do a whole lot.
Quite effective, I finally used Power Delete Suite.
Or a second gen model of the Switch. I was really hoping they’d announce something at the direct today but nope!
The Nintendo Switch when it came out. I was super hyped and somehow the console even exceeded my expectations.
Playing Breath of the Wild for the first time was amazing and even after 6 years the console still feels modern to me.
Exactly. I don’t get the mentality of not running ads in a YouTube video where someone said „fuck“ but being completely fine with running your ads on twitter.
I mean just checking the feed these days is incredibly toxic. Seems like only people of a certain mindset kept sticking around.
Nice! Can’t wait to pay 40$ next year for that access.
Seriously though, it’s a great feature and I hope it stays.
I think this will just lead to reddit becoming more mainstream - not in a good way but in the way facebook did. This already happened in the past thanks to marketing pushes and most of the bigger subs are really crappy at this point.
So in the long term, reddit might die due to the quality of the content becoming worse. But for now investors might be happy.
If it was just looks. Usually the UX is simply not very good. We need more designers in the FOSS space.
