I got it back up! I was able to reset the database user’s password.
Not that this makes the rest of what she did any better, but that wasn’t flash photography. That was the sensors scanning for faces and the security camera picking up the IR light.
I had no idea that’s what it was for. I hadn’t added mine for fear of spam but this makes way more sense now.
Yeah, I completely agree. I loved the vertical tabs and I’ve almost gone back several times. I hope Mozilla is working on those two and sleeping tabs.
Sorry, that was worded very poorly on my part. I don’t even know what I was trying to say there but it should be “as long as you show up for your court date.” I think I forgot what I was typing out halfway through that sentence, hahaha.
Edit: I just figured out what happened. That was meant to be a continuation from the first sentence, not a separate thought. Rearranged and commas added for clarity: You don’t get your $300 back, you don’t get hunted down by a bounty hunter, and you don’t get additional charges for skipping out when you show up on your court date(s).
I haven’t seen bonds work like that (but I don’t doubt some do). The way they work around me is:
edit: my brain stopped working on point 4 as pointed out by @Nightwingdragon@lemmy.world
I used to do a lot of cross country driving. Here are my recommendations:
AAA membership if you don’t feel comfortable changing your own tires, a good lug nut wrench and bottle jack if you can do it. There’s a lot of areas where you’re “in the middle of nowhere” and it can take some time for any support to get to you. Make sure your spare has air. Audiobooks, podcasts, and playlists downloaded. There may be long stretches of no service. If you can download the Google Map or Apple Map for your trip, it’s not a bad idea. Non-messy snacks, gum, and a small cooler of drinks if you want to save money. Gas station food/ drinks add up. There are a few apps to check rest areas/ bathroom recommendations. I liked Trucker’s Path but it’s been a while since I’ve travelled like that so there may be others/ better ones. Get a dash cam before you go. There’s a lot of idiots out there. And the more you’re on the road, the more likely something could happen. Plan a little time to make some extra stops if you can. There’s a lot of neat stuff you can do on your way that you won’t know about until you see signs for them. Or check Google Maps for places to stop on your route. Get out and stretch your legs somewhere fun. And when you start to get hungry, look for good local spots to stop and eat. There are TONS of options that are so much better than the chain restaurants. Look for 4-5 star places in the area on Google Maps.
Not saying these hackers are good in the least. But the sheer lack of basic security in a lot of hospitals and health services is enough to piss you off. Maybe THIS incident will encourage them to make some improvements.
If you used Lemmy-Easy-Deploy, the docker name is lemmy-easy-deploy-postgres-1
docker exec -it lemmy-easy-deploy-postgres-1 busybox /bin/sh
Same for me!
I completely agree. I’ve been hopping on in the morning and in the evening and I don’t feel like I’ve missed anything and I still feel like I’m contributing. The total opposite of how it was with Reddit.
The film may have suffered at the box office because of the actors’ strike…
Two sentences later:
The comedic horror movie received poor reviews.
Hmm… maybe it’s the lack of creativity and effort that caused the poor reception and not the strike by people just trying to be treated fairly. Just maybe…
I bought the domain through Cloudflare and when setting the CNAME and A records it automatically proxied them so I didn’t even think about it at the time.
Honestly, I don’t even know. It was in the advanced settings on Lemmy-Easy-Deploy and I missed it and spent like 2 hours troubleshooting until I saw that, lol.
.win is a $3 domains on Cloudflare and shouldn’t have issues of being revoked (like .ml is going through and others could potentially face).
My steps were:
Same username on reddit. Just over 10 years myself on that account plus another 2 or 3 with a prior account. Really enjoying Lemmy and like everyone has said already, it honestly does feel like reddit from 10 years ago. I had stopped using reddit much at all but I’m on Lemmy nearly every day like I used to be with reddit years ago.
I had the same exact thought! BI definitely meant it as “This very smart and important person thinks this should change” but in reality what it really means is “this person who doesn’t understand technology thinks the software isn’t simple enough.”
The logo plus every screenshot on iOS uses that same font. There’s not much else to it. It’s simply an ugly font.
It’s a tool to you. To someone less tech literate, I can see where they don’t see a difference between this and uploading a copyrighted logo to vistaprint or your custom credit card design.
