For me, in Chrono Trigger, the most exciting moment was Frog splitting the rock with Masamune. I was shivering with excitement when I saw that.

4th core Soul Strike VS. Echo sabre, dragon lance, basher. She can hit harder than ppl expect while still fulfilling her support role. Battlefury is cool but the way it spreads it hard to control. Doesnt aways win but fun to play
You mean Chrono Cross? Chrono Trigger was already designed by Toriyama,
Side note, what’s gonna happen to Dragon Quest from now on??
Laughed so hard at the names
Just realized anime confirmed, and from Madhouse! Hyped!
You might enjoy the live action movies then. I watched it a while back so I don’t recall too much of it, but it was enjoyable for someone who’s read the manga multiple times.
Just started this one. Most authors have one big hit but Asakasa Aka just keeps outdoing himself. Don’t think Love Agency will be as popular but its been solid so far. Pretty sure a love “square” is forming. Can’t wait to see how it plays out.
Any Highly Advanced Medicine Is Indistinguishable From Magic is yet another isekai story, but it tries to be more “realistic” than most. It’s about a modern doctor in isekai world but goes into details about procedures like a regular medical manga. It reminds me of In Another World Where Baseball Is War, A High School Ace Player Will Save A Weak Nation which is a manga about baseball in isekai but they also try to keep it “realistic” and play it out like a regular baseball manga.
I’ve bee liking these mangas where they go into granular details about modern day stuff but in an isekai world. It makes the story that much more realistic and relatable.
Trillion Game is like the manga-version of Silicon Valley, sorta. Glad its serializing again.
Omg finally! I need to reread from the start tho, forgot most of it lol
Also, if you’re into basketball manga’s thats more on the realistic side, I highly recommend “REAL”
Tha manga’s art definitely got better as it went along. Still my favorite manga ever. Imo the anime did not do the manga justice. I heard the new movie is really good tho, so I am patiently waiting for it to become available in US.
Im also following MarriageToxin. The premise is interesting, altho the battle and abilities seem lacking. I hope they lean harder towards the romcom side going forward.
Started a number of titles, the three that stood out to me were:
Pot calling the kettle black lol
I typically avoid oneshots. I’ve read the oneshot predecessor to some famous mangas, but I don’t think there is any that I enjoyed more than the serialized version. And if a oneshot is good but doesn’t end up as a series, then I’d feel bummed.
Started reading Go, Go, Loser Ranger!. Wasn’t expecting much going in. Thought it’s going to be similar to Hero Academia but the plot and characters are pretty interesting. The action isn’t very well drawn, but the overall quality is pretty good. I’m only on chapter 30 and it is starting to go down hill for me, but will see if it recovers.
Going to buy the entire manga series. It’s rare to see a great manga end at the perfect place, and not keep it going for the heck of it.
Service Wars - saw discussion posts quite regularly but I typically only read manga with at least 20 chapters already, so didn’t start on this one until recently. Only on chapter 6 so far but holy crap it’s hilarious and the gags have been plenty and mostly unexpected. Looking forward to seeing how the author can keep things fresh.
Kimi Janakya Dame na Dorei Shoujo - unexpectedly wholesome with light humor. This is pretty standard stuff, and the art is good, not great. But the execution is superb so far
I was just gonna skim it but ended watching the entire things from start to finish. I religiously played dota since WC3 til 2015, so everything mentioned before then was pure nostalgia (in a good way). I learned tons about the game that happened since, and damn it seems I missed the golden age. I also loved the bits he did on the spin-off games like Artifacts and auto-chess.
I highly recommend this to anyone remotely interested in dota 2 history.
