Hi everyone. In this video I argue against the claim that although there was nominal ownership in nazi germany, because the state controlled the economy there was no effective ownership so nazism is socialism. By examining the role of private property in the nazi economy, I show that despite the various regulations, the capitalists unlike in a centrally planned socialist economy where the state actually controls the economy still enjoyed sufficient autonomy in their production plans, investment decisions, and freedom of contract. In view of this, I conclude that there was still effective ownership in nazi germany so nazism has to be identified as capitalism, not socialism. I hope you will find it useful.

Should have been pretty obvious since the first thing Hitler did was send all the communists to concentration camps.
