    I definitely did not see US actually bailing them, unless it’s the “bail” in the usual form of buying entire country for pennies.

          Wasn’t their whole idea to try to sell the country to US investors in the first place (“encouraging foreign investment”)? I guess stuff just got a reduced price tag since nobody wanted the rotten parts after everything else has already been cut out?

      Buying the dip on Argentina. Using them as the front line in a proxy war. Leaving them as a pile of rubble as you settle the conflict in exchange for minerals or oil or some such.

      But on the bright side it pays for some corn subsidies or something for a boom-bust cycle. It’s as capitalist as it gets! Milei’s leadership was a real monkey’s paw
