While we are living in a very tumultuous time, what is most difficult is the unknown and what the future may hold. Reactionary Trumpism has taken ahold of a working class that has been abused and is confused of what to attach itself to, Trumpism is the only thing they see that is genuine to them while the left in general have successfully ousted Trump, now the establishment hawks immediately turn their sights on the progressive struggle in the United States. The democratic party for clear reasons have turned on the left wing of their party, not because of a failed analysis and post mortem of what went wrong, although some of it has to do with it, but because it’s class war and they know it.

The new right is anti war, but of course fascistic domestically; protectionist and isolationist. The left is the same as it’s ever been, continuously struggling for workers everywhere, but the successful suppression of pro worker candidates has led to almost complete disconnect from reality. The lack of working class action in political form has left our working class desperate and confused. Those of us in the left have a good working class analysis that grounds us in reality while those who don’t are easily swayed by “strongmen” and ultra nationalism. Like National Socialism it’s a butchered and distorted version of working class politics, blaming it on the “other” or an “elite” people of a specific ethnicity and of course superstition.

Not knowing what comes next is scary but not for myself but for the hopes of working class victory. If the working class doesn’t have a proper means, a political party that it can get behind with a strong class analysis we may lose the working class to fascism. I fear we’re running out of time. Like circling a black hole, where once the event horizon is crossed there’s no turning back.
