It looks like trump-style rhetoric isn’t resonating in Canada. Between US unraveling and the the economic fallout from the pandemic I’m seeing a lot of renewed interest in socialism here.
Trudeau is practically just a polite trump, and Canada is a nazi-apologizing state. Getting “well, we’ll just move to Canada” liberals to understand that is frickin annoying.
Yep, I’m convinced the haute capitalists prefer these charismatic liberals like Trudeau or Obama, they’re much better at lying, aren’t as frank about their imperialist intentions, are willing to do a lot of polite apologizing and saving face while not actually changing anything, whereas the more overt reactionaries like trump will say the quiet part out loud and be a lot more frank about their intentions, and lay the capitalist system bare for all to see.
