    nobody knows, we’re barely started. .ml is the “official” one run by the devs. .world is run by a pro admin, has financial transparency, and currently makes more in donations than what it costs to run (about 500$/mo). Some criticism of .world is that it has open registrations, which could mean more spam, and thus more chance of being defederated

    There’s nothing wrong with signing up for a smaller or private instance. A small instance is likely to federate well and have small scale politics, good server uptime. You could pick one that’s close to your physical location for good latency
