I’m trying to make a resource server on Discord and we’re currently planning it out; it has already been made, but right now we’re just getting started and trying to plan everything.

With that said, could all of you perhaps help me with suggestions? Any recommendations that you have to the server? What should I do differently from other resource servers? Or should I leave it as is?

I know that the resource server that FinBol adds on to is barely updated and that the Communist Library server is Maoist now and focuses mostly on a Maoist point-of-view and anarchism. And the last one I was in was also kinda dead (and got taken over by some trolls).

What do you all suggest? Do you want to be invited to the Discord server that I made for communist resources?

A Discord server might not be the case for this project. Because of the way instant messages apps are designed, you’d have trouble finding the content you’re looking for.

A MediaWiki (or alternatives) powered website, for many different languages might be more interesting following the format you sent. I’d be glad to help a project like that (even financially with the shitty wage I earn), like an international Marxist-Leninist wiki.

      This is just a side-project.

We’re already using a MediaWiki site for a China Wiki project.

Say… Before I focus on an international Marxist-Leninist wiki do you want to help with my China Wiki project?

We have about 8 people working on it. We also paid for our own domain and are using MediaWiki last I checked, though I mostly just help run things and check in to see how we’re doing and what we need to do.

If you want practice, I can give you a position on the China Wiki project that I’m doing for the /r/Sino mods.

Afterwards, I plan to do a Marxist-Leninist Wiki. Thoughts?

It’s the China wiki @bayarea415@lemmygrad.ml and comrades from Tankie Bunker are developing, right? The China articles being made could be used for a future international Marxist-Leninist Wiki, which will have my full commitment and support, because that would be an important project for us in Latin America.

I mean, I live in Brazil, which is a country heavily affected by US imperial tentacles. China is not our first and foremost concern. But it is relevant too.

Information on Venezuela-US conflict, for instance, is much more relevant to our material conditions in Latin America.

If it’s using the MediaWiki, I can contribute to it eventually. I’m already full of commitments with my organization, so I won’t accept an administrative position, but I can contribute to it whenever I’m available, sure. Feel free to share the link on Lemmygrad once things are running.

I can give you the Discord invite and you can just do one or two articles.

And that’s about it. That’s really all we need. More people working on more articles before the site goes public.
