You’re missing the point of the piece and not engaging with the topic of this discussion, which is China’s socialism. This is not the time or place for the millionth rehash of the Stalin vs Trotsky argument, regardless which side of it you fall on.

Honestly, I think there’s a pretty good theory that his time in detainment and torture really messed up his head. Nothing can be confirmed since not much about his life was written down beyond what small bits we got but yeah.
It’s basically the terminal stage for a trot when they can’t ignore labor aristocracy any longer and have serious nihilism issues.
