Pretty telling that not a single top answer in there is from a “former ML”. And one of the top answers being a pro-vaush post lol.

I like how all the comments in that thread start with “I’m not a Marxist-Leninist…”. Seems like the thread shows this pretty much doesn’t happen in practice. And it would frankly be surprising if it did, because Marxism-Leninism is a well thought out theory, while Anarchism is a loose ideology at best.

But thanks to loosely defining Marxism-Leninism, they are able to upvote someone who rejected Hobbesian human nature, which they liken to authoritarianism and it’s all the same to them anyway.

Incidentally that’s why I tell them to read theory. They don’t have to like it, they don’t have to agree with it, they just have to know what they’re talking about.

I had a period in my teens where I switched to anarchist but then I reread theory and got better.

God, I wish I could press a magic button to make all Anarchists read a book. If we could convert all western anarchists to MLism, that would like at least double the size of our movement in the west.

I tried to make a thoughtful comment without being a dick, I pray one person reads it and it starts their journey. lol

I see them shitting on Grover Furr as usual

Can anyone tell me why any criticism of Grover Furr are just ad hominem attacks on him being a “Stalinist”?

Can anyone point to why no one can criticise his actual writing?

(If its true, BIG IF) Its a shame someone identifying as a Marxist-Leninist would call someone a ‘conservatroll’ for being skeptical of China’s economic aid policy. When I asked something similar a comrade explained the way it works to me and its positive results for both China and developing nations. Ended up helping me understand the way China operates and how even if it isn’t my idea of how a DoTP should work it is undeniable that the CPC is doing lots of work on international poverty eradication without the horrible western imperial strings attached to it.
