I googled a bit (admittedly without much heart) and I didn’t find any active sim groups that play as anything but war crimin- I mean NATO. So this leads to me asking here if any of you know of any active groups for mostly Arma 3 who focus on playing operations as the opposing forces to NATO? If not, would there be interest in forming such a group among us? It doesn’t have to be big, my dream isn’t full 60 count servers but a basic crew of maybe 4 to 8 people that can play occasionally would be lovely.
I will even settle for JUST ONE OTHER PERSON to mess around in Arma with. :P
There’s a tonne of non-NATO teams, and there’s a tonne of games that thrive from having those teams around - and so made OPFOR more fun for players. MILSIM west is one of the games I plan on eventually going to, the way they do OPFOR is probably the best and if you look around on their facebook pages and whatnot you’re bound to find OPFOR groups. I’m trying to put together a basic Russian kit rn (on no money, so it’ll be a minute), but as soon as I have my shit together myself and some buddies are going to form a lil pro-communist OPFOR team for ourselves.
(edit, i totally forgot to actually read the post. I thought airsoft, you were talking about ARMA. You can find units on the units site (forget it’s name, sorry) and there’s various other places you might be able to find one)
At that, we’re planning on putting together a Soviet-era tankist loadout, a modern PLA loadout, and a 80s IRA loadout.
That does sound fun when you mention it.
Sorry, I always forget Mil-Sim is a genre of RL gaming too. I meant more video game wise. But, that is good information nonetheless.
