    lol john deere didn’t need tariffs, those things tariff themselves. their machinery is obscenely more expensive than alternatives.

        the gps guidance system is a SaaS subscription thing btw, on top of the initial cost of the hardware, you also have to pay subscription for the gps signal 😅

          I feel like on an industrial scale like china that would be really easy to bypass. Like, it’s not like rtk gps is some big encrypted secret

          Which is as insulting as heated seat subscriptions, because satellite geopositioning is passive and free.

            for sure it sucks, i am trying to build my own home base RTK to avoid paying these subscriptions but its hard. the whole industry is filled with these SaaS stuff, its so annoying.
