I’m reading through the introduction. I have real familiarity with Trotsky and his theories, but, it would seem that Desai’s formulation of Geopolitical Economy is centered on restoring his generalized theory of “Uneven and Combined Development”. Naturally, there is a lot more to it than that, but I found it interesting considering just how much disdain there is for Trotsky both historically but as a developer of theory.

Those who have read this book, what are your thoughts?

I’ve only skim read parts of it so far. From what I’ve seen, the book shouldn’t be dismissed outright. She’s quite good in her online lectures/talks, too, although it’s clear she’s not ML.
