Hey lads, you know how we’ve lived through three decades of coups, wars and revolutions? Well I have an idea!

Lack of organisation and an abundance of organisation of their opponents

Also the label “post-nazi” is quite misleading for Baltics and increasing number of EU countries, that “post” part especially.

I wouldn’t even put post-French label on many of the African countries, seeing how much the French bourgeoisie still control

Yup. Also, more about post-nazi, note in that map they put land which was even briefly occupied as post-nazi and not post-soviet.

Props for being honest about the Finland just this once lol.

Should also slap post-english on large parts of France, Angevin Empire was more recent than Norman conquest.

Okay, but the thing is, those terms are useful when somebody is discussing modern history. (Although people would be likelier to say ‘postcolonial’ rather than ‘post‐British’ or ‘post‐France’.) When discussing how the past affects the present, such terms are useful. Nobody takes offence.

This is, without exaggeration, the first time that I’ve seen anybody gripe about the term ‘post‐Soviet’.
