How much of a principled socialist is Lukashenko? He seems to be doing his best to preserve Belarus’s state-owned economy, somewhat like North Korea.
Is he holding out until the rise of the multipolar world allows for snaller countries like Belarus to be out-and-about socialist?
Why would he wait if it doesn’t matter? Belarus already has to deal with sanctions and coup attempts. It wouldn’t make a difference if he was socialist, so I think he isn’t otherwise he would’ve shown it more already.
