A fascinating read by Colonel Viktor Alksnis

His grandfather was shot by the Soviets in 1938 hence his family was always anti-soviet and anti Stalin

Alksnis then was given the chance to read the Tukachevsky transcript which was classified under Gorbachev and Yeltsin.

Alksnis then came away convinced Tukachevsky was guilty

Its wild to me that his father, a man who had essentially been raised to hate Stalin, eventually understood and forgave him when the country fell to pieces in the 90s.

Very similar to Alexandr Zinoviev who was an anti stalinist his entire life until the Perestroika era when he finally realised what the West was doing and that the restoration of capitalism would be an absolute disaster for Russian people
