Afraid cheerleading like this allows for Anglos to use their trump cards. They always try to play the bluff games with enemies as dishonesty runs in their blood.

I get the impression that Anglos are reaching the limits of what they can physically accomplish at this point.

Probably but we must never underestimate their capabilities. Better to be tactical and methodical than whimsical. Their trickle down system of introducing chaos in societies still holds a lot of power combined with media influence.

I agree, and I think this is why Russia has been so methodical in their approach. They’re careful to avoid any quick escalation with NATO.

Why? They are doing exactly this for over a year by now in limited military warfare and unlimited economic one.

Same. Economics wise they have proven to be a tough opponent. But they are currently only fighting Ukraine (albeit with their own small part of the army). Fighting the entirety of NATO is another thing.

Putin seems to be going for the whole country, not just Donbass. While they can probably defeat the army, after the “mission accomplished”, can they build Ukraine to be better and gain support of the people even in the west? If they can’t gain the support of the people in the west they’ll have to deal with nationalist guerrilla warfare and NATO sponsored terrorist attacks. Generally I see this as a shitty situation and not really in Russia’s favor. China seems to be the one that benefits though, and resources devoted to fighting Russia are resources not going towards fighting China.

          • the aftermath is almost certainly going to be a big pain for Russia, which is probably part of why the government waited for so long to enter Ukraine (in case the West decided to follow the Minsk agreements, since that would’ve been a far less messy outcome)
