Some people on the “left” literally only exist online to make sure everyone knows they’re still pro-empire

Still waiting for one of these fools to show me a North Korean Capitalisttm. Can capitalism exist without a capitalist class, now?

This is the big and important window into the anarchist mind. It seems they all are subconsciously anprim, deep down they do know their ideas will crash and burn society.

Used to be me. Getting a reminder flash about a comment I made on FB about the Uighurs in 2019… well, it’s a good reminder to educate myself more every day like I have since then, if anything positive.

Russia is closer to socialism than Nazi Germany. Not that I support the modern Russian framework, but it objectively has more aspects of socialism than the Third Reich.

Large portions of the Russian economy are nationalized. There are national unions. Communists and socialists are not only allowed to participate in government but also remarkably popular. Just off the top of my head.

Again, it’s not to say that I support the way Russia is currently run. But keep in mind that in terms of proximity to socialism, Russia still has a few leftover remnants from when they were the largest successful socialist project on earth but Germany has never had socialism anywhere near that level.

Sorry, not trying to nitpick, just adding to the dog pile of how blatantly wrong the person you replied to on Twitter was. They just hate whoever NATO tells them to hate

They couldn’t fully privatize and follow the western model because they know that it would mean the complete destruction of the country, so they have to maintain quite a lot of state ownership in order to keep their economy ticking.

Another reason to love Russia imo

not glorifying at all, just comparing to Nazi Germany which was even more privatized and violently opposed to the working class
