    To the Americans that say this: China is bigger than the US and has a very diverse environment (mountains, for example) and yet they are able to achieve a remarkable rail system. Russia is fucking ginormous but they have the trans-Siberian rail (I don’t believe its a high-speed railway but still), and while Canada needs a better system dramatically we do have the VIA rail which is something (I will forever complain that we don’t have high speed rail between our cities nor within, its ridiculous how long its taking to expand our existing inner city tracks).

      well inexplicably if u ask amerikkkans amerikkka is bigger but the sheer level of bias involved in making that claim is so ridiculous that it would make a judge ruling on their own crimes seem sensible.

        It is ridiculous but at the same it is impressive how the oil/car capitalists made it possible for people to think stuff like this. The power of propaganda is insane.

    The size is actually the reason why they should have high speed rail
