Bakhmut directions is Wagner, Donetsk (city) directions is DNR, Lugansk is LNR, and the big shoe here literally just has not fallen recently. They must be up to something big, beyond just supporting the other forces

I wonder how private Wagner really is. According to Alexander Mercouris (yeah, I know), they are operating a a few supersonic fighter planes – old kit by the standards of the current Russian air force, but still advanced technology beyond what most private contractors have access to. There is no way Wagner could have gotten hold of these things, or have the infrastructure to operate them properly, without the cooperation of the Russian ministry of defense.

Is it even 1 group? My understanding is that there are a whole bunch of people that use Wagner in their name and they have no relation to each other. And they’ve been mischaracterized as a single entity for propaganda reasons.

Most likely they are operated by Russian government, in the similar way as US mercenaries are operated by US govt.

I’ve posted about this in weekly, but yes - Wagner has some serious hardware. Artillery, tanks, jets, air defenses.
