I’m thinking of paying the Lemmygrad Matrix a visit, should I sign up using the genzedong.org Matrix Server? Or should I just sign up on the general Matrix server? (matrix.org), seeing as the Matrix Chatroom on the frontpage links to internationale:matrix.org

Also, how active are either matrices? Does genzedong.org have any chatrooms?

Lemmygrad’s Matrix room has two addresses, the main one is #internationale:genzedong.org and the second one is #internationale:matrix.org. It was first created when a Genzedong instance didn’t exist so that’s why you may see it as such. In my opinion since Genzedong comes more from a Reddit, non libre software user base, Discord space is more active than Matrix, but Lemmygrad’s Matrix room is indeed more active, or at least fairly active, I don’t use any of their Discord spaces so I wouldn’t know, but that’s what other people say. Nevertheless I would invite you to create an account on Genzedong instance and use Matrix, since it is a software that allows for more freedom.

The encryption thing is a bothersome issue that really annoys, I tried to convince the administrators to do the switch but I guess it could affect in some way.

Does a Discord space still exist? Clicking the “Affiliated Discord!” link results to an invalid invite. :\

I don’t really like Discord (especially now that they’ve become another Soulless Corporation), so I would’ve done it anyway. Thank you still for the cordial invitation! The GenZedong instance it is then!

The switch from Matrix to Discord? Discord to Matrix? Or to turn encryption off?
