How’s it going comrades? How’s your workouts? Anything you care to report?

As for myself I had a rough start to the week. Pushed a little too hard with deadlifts on Monday and felt a “pop” of sorts along the lower back. Was a little tight for a few days but pain hasn’t been serious. Don’t think I hurt anything major and am at about 95% of my normal mobility. Taking some time off from back intensive lifts but otherwise think I’ll be ok in a another week or so.

This week I didn’t feel like working, so in addition to the 2 hours of cross fit (the person who gives the classes was very nice, when I told him that I was interested in Olympic lifting, and in the classes that I go he always incorporates an Olympic movement, I finally “learned” how to do a clean, next month he says it’s teaching the split jerk), the other days that I went to the gym without a class, I worked squats (front and back) and bench press + shoulder press (different days).

Scheduled a physical evaluation to Jan 2, in order to have a different workout plan, as I was kinda getting tired of it…

My progression is no longer linear, so I don’t feel like training as much as I used to (honestly feeling kinda week) …

Hope with the new year, things change !!

(This weekly threads are great, keep them coming please, its a great for me to have a perspective of my workouts and share it with others !)

I’ve been power cleaning mini chocolates for a week. I can’t say I feel any fitter or stronger.

Take as much time as you need to rest your back. Better to take a month or two now then to go back too soon and make it permanent.

Back from visiting home for the holidays, so I’m able to start intermittent fasting and working out again.

My new years resolution is to get my body fat levels low enough to show a six pack, then start bulking, and increasing the dumbbell weight I use for full body workouts.

So far I’ve lost about 5 lbs in a month doing IF, doing a 20 hour fast 4 hour eat per day. I might switch to something more rigorous to speed that up a bit.

Fuck yeah comrade, IF is the way to go. I’m a month or so I plan to do another extended day fast cause the holidays has destroyed me.

It’s been really positive in ways I didn’t foresee… I don’t get as hangry, I don’t have to prepare as many meals and think about food all the time. When I do eat, I don’t have to calorie count.

Paradoxically I have more energy, since by the end of the fast you’re burning fat, whereas with calorie restriction your body only burns your short-term intake.

I love seeing others start to experience it lol. Like everything you described is exactly how I felt when I started doing OMAD and stuff. Extended day fasting is an even crazier thing. Like all our lives we are told we gotta eat and can’t skip a meal blah blah. Then you get into fasting and you realize… We are strong. Our bodies are strong. We have evolved for thousands of years and our bodies KNOW how to exist without food for days, weeks, if need be. Hell out bodies are so smart they use these times of no food to “clean house” and come out healthier for it.

Wasn’t able to work out on Monday but I did keep going on Wednesday and Friday, though I felt a bit of discomfort in my legs while dancing so I might have to be more mindful of that

Gonna start adding bodyweight exercises to this week’s workout routine

Going to start again this month. It seems like I haven’t lost that much weight/muscle in the last month so I hope I’m not set back too far. Otherwise, too bad and I’ll keep going regardless.
