Good writeup! But I hope in the future you will consider publishing on a platform that isnt run by silicon valley capitalists (eg write.as, which can also be selfhosted).
Edit: write.as is the instance run by the developers, here is a list of all instances: https://writefreely.org/instances
It supports ActivityPub, so people can follow a blog from Mastodon or Pleroma, and even boost articles and comment on them. Though I’m not sure how far along their implementation is.
Thank you. I did look at these, and they sort of terrified me because tech is really not my strong suit. I will look at them and see if I can eventually migrate (I’ve already got like 20 essays on the go in Medium), but at the moment Medium has become intuitive and easy for me to use. I’ll try to make the switch, though.
that’s pretty cool actually, might think about migrating
that Marx quote has become my favourite
The narrative has been portrayed by the capitalist media within the framework of identity politics and attempting to contain the issue to police practices. They hope to make the protests go away by prosecuting these four and increasing black representation in politics. Hugs, handshakes, and police doing kneeling. “Ethical policing” perhaps.
Plus there are hilarious scenes of liberals shielding shop windows, including a target (LOL).
Still, the ruling classes are terrified and appears censorship in the media; with reporting noticeably becoming thinner in the last few days, apart from the hugs.
