• Amazing how this entire thread can be swapped with the Vietnam War, the algerian war and literally any rebel group war against imperialism and you’ll get the same liberal opinions, you’d think that they’d have more empathy towards real humans than movie characters.

      That’s because George Lucas literally stated that the empire and the rebels were in part inspired by the Vietnam War. Namely, the empire was inspired by the US and the rebels the Viet Cong.
