This book is outstanding. It’s the most coherent critique of Marx’s works I’ve seen, and she does that through a Marxist lens from a feminist perspective. She critiques the fact that Marx pays little to no attention to reproductive labor, and that it was entirely lacking in his works, even though it’s an essential part of the (re)production of social life.

Engels very briefly began to approach this question at the later stages of his life, especially in his Origin of family. She also makes an important contribution about the transition of feudalism to capitalism in Europe, the extreme violence of colonization and primitive capital accumulation, etc. Overall very nice work
