Its intention is probably somewhere between informing potential shooters of increased risk and the usual murican (especially texan) bravado, from what i seen “you will be shot” is alternative for the usual “greetings” doormats most of the world have.
I guess people are hoping they will be braver and more accurate than the police? 🤨 I am mystified by the idea of putting people in this situation.
