Finally. Two nights ago I had an argument with my cousin about China and the protests. He seemed disturbed about it, I pointed out how we had an entire convoy drive across country to Ottawa protesting COVID policies and he’s not freaking out about that. He tried to say it was different because apparently China was forcing people to be locked in their homes. I told him we literally had people with Nazi flags threatening to murder government officials. Also children were going to school just fine in China so I don’t know why he’s pissed at China but not what’s going on over here.

Then again he was also the guy who was mad about the England soccer team (or whichever one, I don’t follow sports) considering wearing rainbow arm bands in support of lgbt/protesting the Qatari government. He and I look at the armbands differently; he thinks it’s a distraction and annoying, no gays, just sports pls. While I think it’s an empty sentiment and hypocritical considering trans people are in danger over on TERF island. Very frustrating…

At this point I believe the protests were real, but that the MSM lied a lot about them and the CPC actually did respond well to the protests that did exist. Also the CIA tries to co-opt protests in China into color revolution attempts.

The protests are real, probably. The people of China have opinions, not every protest is a CIA attempt at civil unrest. But the West coups them into great revolutionary anti government protests, while they were protests against some covid measures. Just like in Iran, the Chinese people are choosing their own path forward and that sometimes leads to protests, some of which get couped by the CIA. Doesn’t mean all of them are fake.

Like how they transformed a furneral into the 1989 Tiananmen Square protest with students who admitted that they did not know what they are doing before the protest leaders stage attacks against their own followers to get free welfare and citizenship into NATO countries.

They’re definitely not fake. People protest. Of course we should always be skeptical given the threat of Western meddling. But at the same time, if people weren’t already upset then the fertile ground for Western meddling wouldnt be there in the first place. Protesting is a healthy sign of civic engagement.

The question is whether the state constructively responds to its people’s concerns when they mobilize, which China has. That’s a big opportunity for us in combatting this whole “authoritarian” nonsense.

Those few calling Marx, Engel and Stalin “the foreign agents” demonstrates pretty well the disgusting and ugly face of our western bootlicking liberals. They claim they can’t communicate with foreign forces yet they know to hold up blank sheets of paper and magically get paid 100-200 usd for their participation.

“We want freedom” lol if they tried that in their favourite “lighthouse of democracy” country they’d end up being riddled with lead.

Covid restrictions protest exist in China like they exist all over the globe, But since China is the enemy they are portraying these people (that would be considered “enemies” in any other country) as some hero freedom fighters
