I live in Southern California in the US (unfortunately). Today, it rained more than I have seen in at least 5 years, and this is the second day of rain. We haven’t had 2 consecutive days of rain here in years. Also, it’s not raining continuously. I was just sitting in my room, then suddenly heard a massive amount of wind, and then it rained extremely hard for about an hour and stopped abruptly, and then repeated again the same way. I’ve never seen such behavior before in my life. This is also after an entire year of clear skies and barely any rain.

There is so much rain that our National Weather service has issued a warning telling everyone to only travel if they are fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Unlike what many people believe, climate change isn’t just global warming, it also causes other changes, such as more erratic and severe weather patterns, which I guess is what I am seeing right now.

Has anyone else seen erratic weather patterns like this?

When I was a child… Kentucky summers were typically mid 80s.

These days; mid 90s damn near 100 consecutively for whole weeks.

You cant tell me climate change isnt real. The change is happening in LIVING. COGENT. MEMORY.

Summers here now reach 40+ degrees celsius for days on end, all greenery outside just dies, we can’t water it because we need to save water, there’s less rain than before, winters remain mostly snowless, last week it was still 20+ degrees celsius, trees still have green leaves, when it rains it is often really intense and sometimes flooding the country.

So, yeah. It is much more intense compared to even a few years ago.

Yea fellow Midwestern Comrade here, our weather (in my area) is supposed to dip into 50s and 40s by October and November. We’ve had multiple days where it’s 70 degrees and rain is such a toss-up these days. If it rains it either pours or it’s a mist so light that maybe a tiny couple droplets of water are visible on your phone screen. And the snow? Awful every year no exceptions, it only gets worse(we’ve only had 1 true Blizzard before)

it was over 70f in the northeast US, we used to pray it didn’t snow before halloween as a kid, now we’re lucky if we get sleet before Christmas, used to see white Christmas sales all the time, half your money back if it snows on Christmas, I don’t think I’ve seen one in years. i thought I saw snow out my window the other day and did a little happy dance, but when I moved the blinds I noticed it was just the damaged roof of a white moving van in the neighbors driveway.

It’s still 30° here. Should be at least 15° this time of year. It was when I was growing up…

City I used to live in was known for its moderate weather but got flooded repeatedly due to heavy rains. Also don’t forget the flooding of Pakistan this year. It’s a major event that no one talks about.

Yeah it’s pretty crazy. Last week I was sitting out on the back step with shorts and a t shirt in Philadelphia. Heard it’s still warm around North Carolina.

Grass stays green for like 3 months, stays yellow for the rest of the year with temperatures higher than 25c

I’m getting so sick of the weather here I hope I can move out of my city or even the country in the future
