Very first scene ever seen in entire Star Wars, the attack on Tantive IV in New Hope, is about Empire trampling last vestige of democracy inside it with complete impunity, it’s even said and shown absolutely straight.
It’s not the show, it’s the fans too braindead to figure what it means. Star Wars is the most hamfisted anti-capitalist satire I know of and the fact that most liberals can’t figure it out is hilarious
