Reviving old neighbourhoods into soviet microdistricts? Nice. And it’s even better because with subsidized necessities.
Was about to ask - how does this differ from the Soviet microdistrict system?
Generally this looks like smaller unit compared to microdistrict, also it’s not newly build and designed and there are some things lacking, like medical clinics and schools. Though i would assume those are in plan too to be joint for several of such neighborhoods. On a very much plus, it can be set up practically everywhere without much costs.

Pretty interesting. Any idea how “resident” is defined in regard to the hukou? Are people from that migrated in considered residents there or at their hukou location?
