Of many reasons to hate Hollywood, of course the most petty, arbitrary, reactionary ones would be the ones fixated onto the most.
Here is what kills me about Hollywood.
White men have the privilege of being mediocre in the arts without their bullshit being the result of being a white man.
But ANY media not cishet white male oriented has to be THE GREATEST THING TO EVER EXIST to be considered “good”.
So my question is this. Why CANT feminist art or Black art be AS BAD as white art without their being accused of being bad simply because of who they are?
“art” is a strong word for most Hollywood stuff
They can’t even begin to fathom the fact that main character can be female. I don’t follow this Marvel bullshit at all since they defeated Thanos except for Spider Man because Maguire. But lately it’s popping up on YouTube non-stop that Marvel makes more female main characters?
And they are removed about it 24/7, calling it ‘‘M-SHE-U’’, feminist propaganda and what the fuck… This isn’t the first time nor is it about Marvel, it’s been going on for years: a main character is female and libs seethe and complain about it non-stop: why strong female characters, why feminists, how can a woman be strong, how can woman do this, how can woman do that, woman basically can’t be superhero etc etc.
Main character must always be white male, why change it to woman, why other races and nationalities, why LGBT characters, why ‘‘propaganda’’, but why censor swastikas in historical movies/games… I’m so tired of it
