You can read the full text of the speech as linked in the thread. For all the ultra leftists and Maoists and western communists who still claim that the current leadership are capitalist roaders, that China is no longer socialist or that the CPC is no longer a revolutionary party, the publication of this speech puts the final nail in the coffin of such absurd notions. Xi quotes Engels and Lenin and explicitly affirms the CPC’s communist mission. That the CPC published a speech with such radical rhetoric shows that they are no longer worried about presenting a moderate facade to the west.

I especially liked this passage:

“According to Marxism, social revolution is based on the contradictory movement of the productive forces and relations of production, and is not only a social movement to break down the old political superstructure, but also a new social construction movement. Our Party is a Marxist ruling party, but at the same time it is a Marxist revolutionary party, and we must maintain the same vigor, revolutionary enthusiasm, and desperate spirit as in the past during the revolutionary war, and carry out the revolutionary work to the end.”

My favourite part was the part where he very eloquently summarised the history of Scientific Socialism and explained its future with SwCC.

I really wish some people were more willing to get primary sources about China and their system. It’s so funny to me when westerners try to box China into this idea of a capitalist hellscape dystopia no rights tyrannical hyper security state 1984 shit. Unfortunately, they’re only anti-imperialists in retrospect. In the meantime, they’ll regurgitate the same garbage that was said about every other country the west has targeted over the past century.
