I have. And for whatever reason, FB will straight the fuck up deny me sharing a link. It will tell me flat out it is due to me being abusive. And this is me sharing info with a comrade who KNOWS my approach. My shit talking couldnt be abusive no matter how much I crank the edgey knob with this particular comrade.

Just wild, sibling. Wild.

From what I understand it’s the .ml. Facebook assumes it’s a spam link and blocks it. If you break it up (lemmygrad .ml) it shouldn’t block it.

Been this way for a while, before Genzedong users even started migrating. They don’t block the .ml gtld in fact as some ml links were confirmed to work but they do block lemmygrad.

Are you that shocked that a weaponized capitalist surveillance panopticon and psychological warfare platform blocks communist websites?

They probably blocked us because someone was sharing debunking material on the Uygher genocide lie and on Hong Kong color revolution attempt from the URL and they noticed and put a stop to people countering the narrative they want.

It’s the first time that I saw it blatantly.

I knew shit like that happened because of ideologically motivated moderators and admins and simple bot moderation on things like reddit. Never saw it before in a “private” conversation.

This is why we need an onion domain.

You could also try a redirector though, like bit.ly. There are also some that skirt around redirect-following detections by not actually using a redirect, instead just displaying a link to click on or some other thing that’s harder for automated filters to follow. Though many of those are outright banned due to being used for spam.

    Yeah. Wow…

So lemmygrad is marked by Facebook. 🤔

Im not sure if all of lemmy.ml is marked. But it would be interesting to see what other sites are barred from being shared on FB.

Could you try a URL shortener?
