I have 15lb weights that I keep in my car for exercise on the go(and at work bc I have a lot of free time when I’m not reading) and I got 35 lb DBs that I rarely use. Recently I’ve gotten strong enough to start curling the 35s and I feel so hyped that I can do it with proper form, what do you use for DB curls? Do you like bicep curls or do you have a different go-to quick exercise you do on the go? because I wanna try to work something other than biceps at work too

I think my max right now is 24 kg / 52.9-ish lbs. For sets I currently do 20 kg / 45 lbs

16 kilos for sets at 15 reps.

I imagine biceps are the easiest thing to train at work but truthfully they’re a small muscle. Grows really easily though. But what’s gonna help you lift actual stuff is mainly the shoulders (I wanna say your whole body but that’s not very helpful, even if technically true).

I’m thinking you could do overhead presses at least with those weights, and rows too, still at work if you have time.

Tbh I only ever started seeing results once I went to the gym with proper equipment. I used to use dumbbells at home but never really saw anything happen with them.

Good idea! Overhead presses are a good one. And yea, I do hit the gym so don’t worry about me shunning my Chest and Back lol

Man, there’s some real beasts here. My max is 12.5Kg (8 reps). The strongest guys at my gym do 15Kg, and those are very rare. The heaviest I’ve ever seen was a guy curling 17.5Kg. Sadly I’ve never seen a woman curl more than 5Kg.

Well in my experience women at my gym are very good at certain exercises that I could never do like the Hip Thrust exercises, I can barely do a plate on each side. Also that’s just what I see at my gym, there are plenty of women that could outbench/squat/curl/outrun me anyday of the week, gender isn’t the qualifier for exercise luckily, it would be a sad world if I was stronger than every woman just because I was born a certain way. Just know that if you put effort towards something as certain as exercise, you will see results for sure. It’s a healthy mix of patience and perseverance, and a dash of creatine if you so choose

What I meant is that I would like to see more strong women at the gym, because I like strong women.

The heaviest dumbbells I have are 34lbss right now till I can get some time to make heavier. I can probably move up to 40s if I could find the time to make them.

If you do the big 4 barbell lifts then curls aren’t as big of a deal but I still do them as a little extra push for my arms as I feel my legs would otherwise be getting more “love” and I have to “share the pain” with my arms a bit more.

around 30 LBS for 10 reps (like 15 kg), I need a gym membership tho, my school had a super advanced weight training room that was basically a gym but I just need a gym membership.

I love the fact that Hammers work on your forearms. Now all I need are some sickle curls
