So our ‘‘great’’ prime minister Troue-d’eau (a french joke which means water hole since his names sound similar) has just passed a law which now prohibits ‘‘assault rifle’’ because of the recent event in Nova-Scotia which was a mass shooting. So now we can no longer buy ‘‘assault rifle’’ or shoot them. I think in the future we will probably lose even more rights over gun laws. So I think it will probably produce great trouble in the future.

This really sucks, but I do understand why a lot of people are onboard with this. I mean, 22 people DID just get brutally killed for no reason at all, and many more are going to be affected by this for a long time. I’m very pro-gun myself and I don’t support this bill at all, but still, I can empathize with people who do.
That being said, this ban is almost definitely not being passed out of respect for anyone affected by the shooting; it’s just being used as a scapegoat.

Yup but one crazy thing I found out about is that before the new ban Anti-tank rifles were legal like a Panzerbüchse 42, so like no fucking way you cant have that AR but that big ass anti-material rifle is all fine.

from what I saw, I did not find anything about banning SKS so that good for now I think but this might change but I don’t know if anything will really change since SKS are really popular and common hunting rifle, and there are a fuck ton of them here.
Thank god also that they are not ban cause, it is pretty much the only good rifle that we got, while a good old Garbage rod can do the trick an SKS is much better in most case.
I saw that too. I am not gun crazy like a Trumpite in Texas, but I think we all know that the almost only cause of mass shootings is alienation and not getting proper treatment for mental disorders. I do not like gun restriction (except for reasonable things like background checks and not being able to buy a gun when 7).
Yea plus even with restrictions on guns, there will still be guns around comming from the black market and even after that, there will be another threat and it will be much more dangerous than a gun: fucking bombs
