Police in Dayton, Ohio pulled over Clifford Owensby, a paraplegic, for a traffic stop. Despite being told that Owensby was paralyzed from the waist down and that removing him from the vehicle improperly could cause injury to him, the officers refused to have a supervisor come to the scene before removing him, and further refused to allow Owensby to have a friend come to help him out of the car properly. Instead, they pulled him out of the car by his hair and dragged him to the squad car. Owensby has filed a complaint through the local chapter of the NAACP.
