My heart really goes out to everyone in Burkina Faso. According to Wikipedia the current govt came to power in January this year through their own coup, vowing to defeat a jihadist insurgency. The military then got tired of him because he wasn’t succeeding, as of this month the jihadists and other rebels control just under half of the country. I’m not finding much about the previous govts foreign policy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were pro Russia/China and that’s why there’s a well funded jihadist insurgency causing it to be destabilized.

Again?
When coups happen so often that a military junta gets removed from power by a military coup.
