Win for the East IMO, Snowden has made some lame moves the last few years but rewarding whistleblowers and ensuring their safety is always going to be a positive that would (hopefully) lead to even more whistleblowers and defectors. What do you think?

Its definitely a big win IMO, for any potential five eyes whistleblowers. They can be reassured that should they also decide to be brave and leak evidence of US atrocities, they have a safe haven on Russian soil, and won’t have to be sent to guantanamo or belmarsh and be tortured for the rest of their lives.
