They were on Guerilla History (kinda) together recently to talk about the book. Genuinely interesting stuff. Just makes it all the more frustrating that he refuses to use his analysis to form a coherent, anti-imperialist, based world view.

He’s been talking about NATO’s imperialism for decades… I don’t know why this is surprising. He’s quite possibly the single most cited person in academia of all time and he’s written well over a hundred books. And like half of those are on imperialism lol. Say what you want about him, but imo there’s nobody more well-studied on US imperialism alive today
