The recent 70,000-strong demonstration in Prague has been slandered in a similar fashion

Remember that social networks are a simulation of reality, people on Reddit are not the vast majority of the population, they are a combination of US funded propaganda machine, honest imbecile liberals and every day confused Joes and Janes, plus most of the user base is from Usonia, not Europe. Reddit can say whatever they want, but reality is very different, and remember winter is coming, it is not here yet, we are only beginning to see the actual repercussions.

Which federal state had ridiculous high numbers pretty much during the entire pandemic? Was it the o so holy Bavaria in West-Germany? Nooooo that can’t be. Also a lot of these protests were organised by Die Linke who are not a Nazi party.

The GDR actually fulfilled (partially) the historical will of the German people after World War I. The revolution, betrayed by the social democrats and later the fascist junta, was fulfilled in the GDR – arguably the first really independent German state.

Too bad it didn’t include all of Germany. Scratch that, too bad Stalin didn’t make it all the way to the Atlantic.

Nah look at the way he points the fascist finger at East Germans when the reality is the opposite. It’s definitely a West German Nazi flinging shit.

As soon as the SMO happened, CNBC and CNN were positioning the NATO bloc as “left-wing”, “liberal”, “democratic”, and Russia, Belarus, the DPR and the LPR as “right-wing”, “imperialist”, and “authoritarian”.

It is incredible how the flip has been switched so dramatically. Now that the CIA and NGOs are recruiting “cisgender, bisexual neurodivergent POCs” they’re getting very good at manipulating culture-war indicative and leftist-sounding language to confuse liberals and socdems into supporting fascist imperialism. ANYONE who is against NATO expansionism, especially if they are a Russian neighbor, is a “right-wing”, “fascist” “authoritarian” “imperialist” regardless of any of their other ideals. The communist parties could have been out there and they’d be decried as fascist.

Honestly I also don’t give a shit if the protests were organized by general anti-communists or generic nationalists. I give no iota of a shit what their domestic political goals look like in this context. They are protesting fascist expansionism. Good. Communists should be taking the reins of these movements and capitalizing on the mass energy, but it’s good that they’re happening nonetheless.

They are anyway, 70 years constant talk about “totalitarianism” did that to a mfers.

There are protests organized by right wing parties like the AfD but there are also protests organized by die Linke, who are for all their faults at least not Nazis.

Former DDR is the bastion of the AfD, but bastion is relative. This is from 2020:

It’s not like they’re only strong in the east or that somehow the whole east is super reactionary.

The reason they enjoy more success there is because the DDR was gutted after annexation, their industry was sold for pennies on the dollar to western groups and the east was left with nothing. They “gave” former DDR citizens pensions and welfare but it was super difficult to get and you had to jump through so many hoops that many people didn’t get anything. Even then it was nothing compared to what they had under the DDR. You’ll also hear libs say Germany poured billions to revitalise the east but again, this is after it was all gutted and destroyed.

Essentially Germany left the east to die. Communists in the east were also silenced and prevented from organising: obviously you couldn’t let the DDR be reborn. The afd was able to come in and redirect that energy in a reactionary direction.

And somehow no one is talking about my Bundesland. Baden-Württemberg, once again, getting away with it.

I agree with the rest. Eastern Germany is essentially a colony of the western part. The centers of colonial administrations are looking nice, but masses of the colonized got robbed blind.

Liberals always do this whenever there’s working-class unrest: denounce those upset at the current system as rubes and fascists while continuing to implement austerity. Then crack down on communists while leaving, you know, actual fascists to organize and channel popular anger.

Almost as if they actually want the fascists to take power.
