Furthermore, are any of you planning on being able to make it happen anytime soon?

China, 1000%. I have been planning on moving to Portugal, then China after that, but tbh this European energy crisis is making me consider just beelining straight for China instead.
There certainly is a part of me that wants to fight, to contribute to the Revolution more directly. But to be honest, I doubt I have the nerve for it. I would much rather advance the cause of Socialism from within an AES country, supporting the Revolution in america from afar.
Honestly I’d go to China. Eurozone is fucked.
I agree, I want to be here for it all but I also would love to participate in the development of a socialist nation.
China. I have wanted to study at some of their art universities for ages. They have some great programs, and I’m interested in studying the storytelling framework that can evolve outside of capitalism. But between Covid and rising tensions, I’m skeptical it will happen anytime soon.
Ikr? I feel like as far as moving to China, we had big window that lasted decades and closed during covid won’t be opening again for a while.
Same. I haven’t delved into their programs but I’m sure they have plenty of great ones.
Unfortunately, I don’t think we have a good window right now. Here’s hoping.
I’d like to move to South America. Preferably one of the socialist countries if they’d take me.
being serious though I would like to move to an AES country, definitely would probably have to move to somewhere like switzerland or another European country. I dont know first thing about any asian languages, nor Spanish unfortunately. Provided this is if my situation necessitated me moving.
I would go to Cuba. If they need programmers I would help with that or I would just do any manual or menial work.
EDIT: I am not stuck in America
Wonderful. I wish.
There’s not much here you’re missing.
Does any AES country need or want anymore gringos? We shouldn’t be trying to gentrify these countries, we should be fighting for the proletariat in the place we were born.
Moving to a place, especially a socialist country that strictly controls real estate speculation, is not “gentrifying it”.

Fair enough. I only ask because of the increasingly worse material conditions and lifestyles we live here, and the fact is that most of us aren’t even able to leave. It was more a hypothetical.
However, in the real sense, if revolution isn’t possible in the US, what are we supposed to do? Stick it out in fascism?
Organize, organize, organize. The worse material conditions become, the more likely it is a revolution will happen. When the time comes, the proletariat needs to be ready.

How are we supposed to organize when no one wants to listen?
We just have to do it. I don’t think there’s another choice, unfortunately. It’s the existence of humanity vs a handful of bank accounts. Every Revolution had it’s point where “no one wanted to listen”. That changed through decades and even centuries of struggle.
Finding comrades IRL to talk to helps a ton (psst, or even online!) :).
In the US, you can legit have your life totally ruined just for showing up at a protest.
Yeah, I suppose there are ways to mitigate this.

It’s hard because as an American most aes (that I know of) have vast cultural distances. I don’t find this a negative just that it’d be hard to fit in, especially with language. Ignoring that though, I’d want to move to either Vietnam or Cuba. Probably Vietnam because Cuba is having a rough time with the blockade.
Precisely. I’m scared I won’t be accepted or be lonely. Like you said though, ignoring that, I’d say China.
I immigrated to canada a while back, but china yeah. only place I see hope for the future of humanity
I agree. It’s honestly one of the only economies I don’t see collapsing entirely within the next 15 years.
i think about this so much, and i love to imagine traveling and finding a place to call home. my material condition won’t allow it, so how much value is there in those dreams? i have no way to return to where i’m from, the struggle is here where i am. if china were to grant me asylum or something, i would go right away
Me too.
I’d say plenty. Keep them alive and one day we will be there.
If China granted me citizenship I would absolutely take the offer. That would be a huge boost in every way.
