Serial killers overwhelmingly target minorities and the poor, this is why they are tolerated and tacitly encouraged by the bourgeoisie. As a visceral and immediate threat they distract the lower classes while being no danger to the elite. I believe that the vast majority of serial killers are known to the authorities but are allowed to operate until they become too inconvenient (such as the one in Toronto who police knowingly ignored for almost a decade until they finally killed someone connected.) In addition I believe that serial killersc are an existential threat to the common people and allowing them to live once caught displays disgusting cowardice and represents a moral failing on behalf of our society. Likely the reason that perpetrating dozens of rapes/tortures/murders/etc of the most heinous kind, is not an automatic execution is because our elites behave this way regularly on their private gatherings (as was covered up in the Jeffrey Epstein debacle.)
Anyway what do you all think on the topic? If you’re wondering it was that post about the two guys killing the kid that set me off. Might make some more rants on other topics lol.

Yes that background sense of paranoia is exactly the case. We are constantly bombarded through news, films, games, etc. Constantly reminded of the possibility that some hidden psychopath will visit a horrible fate on us. Providing a constant background hum of fear in the populace. I think it’s very possible that this is used to make people more pliable to the further militarization of the police state, expansion of surveillance, etc.
Back when I was working a sweatshop warehouse job a co-worker came up to me and was like, “Remember that spaced-out seeming guy that used to be here a bit ago and isn’t anymore? Well, the guy was a serial killer.”

I don’t think the government is purposefully creating serial killers. I think it’s more that they target these people because they are an easy target.
There’s a great chance that no-one really cares about the prostitute or the homeless guy or a black person and their deaths get little to no detailed police investigation. These groups are by far the largest group of victims, despite popular media views of serial killers coming after your white daughters. Killing these people is easy and they can kill a lot of them before action needs to be taken. I don’t think they always know who is doing it but they can’t be arsed to investigate some prostitute being killed or whatever. It’s just a byproduct of the white-supremacy the police system is build upon.
Pretty much. If you were a serial killer of US Senators they would shut that shit down right away. The cops don’t care about poor black folks or dogs getting killed though. Some of them are even serial killers of those groups themselves.
Possibly. In Poland during socialism (45 years) we had 14 cases of serial killers with 70 victims overall* and even then we had one case where one of the victims was niece of Edward Gierek and the militia got order to find the murderer top priority. So i can only imagine how it is in capitalism. MO was much better than the current police in detecting such cases. Hell, even the interwar police had more successes.
*Including one case where the murders started during the nazi occupation but excluding the one when first murder was in PRL and next ones in 3RP.
Makes me think of the gloryfication of killers and criminal on TV and youtube shows, and I must say im guilty of that sins too, I love those kind of show, greatest thing ever.
But those shows prolly inspire people too, normalize violence, glorify the killers and all in all probably shouldnt exist
