Pretty sure YouTube recently changed how videos are handled on their API such that there is actually no way to access the video files for restricted content without signing in on an official client. That’s what NewPipe says.
It seems that Google is on the war path against NewPipe and any other app which allows some form of subverting the algorithm and their sweet sweet Nazi content driven ad revenue.

No this happened a while ago. Update to the latest NP.version to fix the current issue.
