I know Lenin used the term state capitalism before, but I hate the term personally, I think the waters have been so muddied on what it means and people have different meanings of the word, but to me I’d rather say that China is in the early stages of socialism which utilizes a mixed economy headed by a government that ultimately fights for the working class interests and stability above all else

Entire economic systems aren’t necessarily thing you can fit into a neat little box. Especially if you’re a lib who’s definitions of leftist economies are “governments that do more stuff” and their definition of liberal economies are “governments that do less stuff”. As a Marxist, you should be asking yourself who controls the state, who wields the most economic power and influence, who uses that influence and for what purpose do they use it. If you can accurately answer those questions you can more easily describe the economic system. In most cases, the answers aren’t always cut and dry.

Any liberal who talks about China cannot tell you anything about the dual use of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and Mao Zedong thought so their opinions are pointless.

    Eh, don’t care.

Liberals do what they do. You can either persuade them to be ML or at least change some of their thinking on things or they’ll either become conservative or perhaps even fascist themselves.

So I try to occasionally convince them, but I don’t take them that seriously.

Second screenshot: did they seriously reply “but they support the police” on just a generic nonpolitical Asian picture?! Or is that in reply to something previous?

And rather than thinking about fixing their domestic issues, these fuckwads would rather advocate for the destruction of their “enemy” so that they won’t be the only ones dying in the streets due to hunger and exposure to the elements.
