I mean, with all energy storage tech, the rule should be “be hopeful, expect nothing, and don’t seriously believe it until you can hold it”. Just because it demonstrates crazy high energy density in a lab does not automatucally mean it will be a viable solution… One hundred and one times bitten, one hundred and second time shy.
Yeah, there’s a lot of work going from a concept to large scale manufacturing. Still, it’s nice to know this kind of stuff is possible in principle.
