I read the Natural Weapons section of The Anarchist Cookbook and… wow. Just by hitting a few body parts hard enough with your hands, you can easily kill someone? That’s terrifying to know, but also helpful.

No wonder paranoia becomes a real issue in war…

It’s quite hard to hit people hard enough in JUST the right spot. People who sleep with guns or knives are not thinking too hard about the idea of self defense imo. I have a hammer by my bed. A simple hammer is honestly the most effective weapon an untrained person could ever have. It’s all about bringing blunt force trauma to the right spot which with the leverage a hammer provides is extremely simple to do. Like if you think you can whip out a knife with no training and not end up stabbing yourself… you got another thing coming. And pistols are easy to miss with, and what if it’s not who you thought it was, or they have a gun, or whatever. Plus the idea of killing someone just for trying to rob me is really a sad thought to me. I have a hard time rationalizing home defense that involves killing someone - that shit stays with you and you just ended a life.

To your point though, the arrogance of the police/bourgeoisie never cease to amaze me. Those videos of the cops arresting the roe v. wade protesters made my blood boil. There were literally hundreds of these hippy types and the cops just stroll into the crowd and arrest a dozen people and the crowd of hundreds does NOTHING. Literally just bumrush them and bump them with your hips and you can all get away. And I am an american and so I know that the police are dangerous but there are hundreds of you physically present, if you can’t act there then you will never act! I’m just waiting for the day a protester runs up and hits a cop in the head with a hammer on video and people realize that they are flesh and blood and the fight against fascism is ongoing.

In the west we live so far removed from the reality of the fact that we are flesh and blood that it makes it extremely easy for the capitalists to maintain their monopoly on violence. Phones feed into this… sorry I am rambling but it is free chat lol.

It isn’t terrifying to me it’s just part of life. We are animals and we all die someday, coming to that realization is the first step to waking up and really living your life imo. You have a finite amount of time on earth; enjoy it and spend time helping others and you’re best able to do that when you are in a positive headspace.

I honestly recommend taking some time to think about it and come to terms with it, and then listen to this and relax your mind my friend https://youtu.be/Jyy0ra2WcQQ

It always bugs me when protestors outnumber pigs and they don’t even try and get physical against them.

Eh, you would probably be found out before the suicide is completed and be left with permanent damage.

Maybe this is not a good post to make in this community. This could be highly triggering for users who are suicidal.

What is the difficulty of pulling off a suicide attempt?

Good point. Should mark it NSFW.

Humans can be tough.

Father told me that in his practice he saw girl that survived with a knife in her head, or a girl that was almost beheaded and become crippled but remained alive, or a veteran that survived a headshot and lived 60 years with bullet in his head.

As he says, it’s usually takes some effort to kill a human.

Hearing stuff like that honestly makes me question how much the sheer will to live has a factor on these things, sometimes

Note that there are quite a few inaccuracies in The Anarchist Cookbook.

Regarding the fragility of human life, I don’t know anything.

I saw a documentary and basically the guy found books on different subjects then collated into a single book. There was no research per se. It’s funny in a way that the book was so controversial because I think he got all the information from a local library.
